Does Opinions Matter - Do Governments have collective Opinion?

The Wiki Leaks, that we have the privilege of looking at spans over four decades and some of the material that we have seen so far, we look at the thoughts and processes of various U.S Governments. The idea that such a wide array of ideas and strategy that emanate based on the intelligence of the few that man these information gathering posts that develop the milieu of a country is something astonishing and provides lots of inputs as to the way we think, do and also how we evolve strategies to achieve objectives.

As always in my posts, now is the time for me to veer of the present day politics and put forward my thinking as to how the powers over the years have garnered opinions to move public opinion in favour of a move that is adopted by any country. The Orwellian Maxim stands

All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
George Orwell, "Animal Farm" English essayist, novelist, & satirist (1903 - 1950)

As common folks and people, we are made to believe in a perfect world, where things fall in place and good triumphs over evil. This is mainly done to maintain a sense of decorum in the way we live, to think that it would induce a chaotic society where there would be no system to evolve and put forward humaneness or anything that would provide for the common people is belied.

People are to be ruled by a elected democratic mafia or a dictator, except for the fact the democratic mafia puts together resources to enable "his way of things". He is the animal that are more equal than the others, and the bureaucrats who might not be elected, but have the right connections to be in touch with the powers to be as well as those in power. These are the power brokers, the opinion makers. The tom toms of the Government, that ensures that a common goal is eschewed, in the hope and belief that they are delivered to the people, but more for the power chess players occupying the seats of power.

This is applicable and very much so that we see patterns emerging as to how the feudal societies of yore behaved and used their bargaining chips. They had the same circumstances to evolve a central cerebellum, a group of schists cobbled together by the power of a volcano, the revolutions, the putsch , the so called people movements. What ever be the reasons at the end , the power gets concentrated, there is never a case of 100 percent of people behind a group or another, this would be never the case and there are always opportunists who would wage the battle in the name of religion, theocracy, democracy, ethnicity and what not.

If we believe in free market dynamics, if it is really free as the solar system is, it would make it imperative for us to understand that there exists none and it is in the interests of the powers to ensure that there is always an advantage. In spite of cries for the protection of those without, even that in this days of equals, are not really equal. Take the case of the six hundred thousand killed in Iraq, is the collateral damage worth the killing of more than half a million? Do they get the same benefits as a fallen soldier from the NATO forces? In the world of animals, these are the not so equal ones, and they would always be.

The world is full of bigots and it is to remain so, I am bigot so are you the reader, but a bunch of bigots and you rule over the other set of bigots and they always want you to be out so that they can rule over you. The nature of power struggle is bigotry. The next blog that would follow this, lets discuss some of the ideas of how religion and bigotry go together.

Where are we headed ... A crystal ball into Cybersecurity in the next five years .. Are we ready?

The future of Cyber Security: Trends and Predictions for the Next 5 years The field of cybersecurity is constantly evolving, and the threats are only getting more sophisticated. In the next five years, we can expect to see a number of trends emerge in the field of cybersecurity, including: The rise of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is already being used by cybercriminals to develop more sophisticated and targeted attacks. As AI continues to develop, it is likely that cybercriminals will be able to use it to even greater effect. The increasing use of cloud computing. Cloud computing has many benefits, but it also introduces new security challenges. Cloud-based data is often more vulnerable to attack than data that is stored on-premises. The growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT is connecting billions of devices to the internet, which creates a vast new attack surface for cybercriminals. IoT devices are often poorly secured, making them easy targets for attack. The shor...

The Shifting Landscape of Knowledge and the Nobel Prize

Our recent conversation sparked some interesting thoughts about the prestigious Nobel Prize and the distribution of its recipients across the globe. Inspired by a user's search history, we delved into the fascinating patterns and potential implications of who gets recognized for groundbreaking achievements. The initial point of discussion centered on the user's search activity, which revealed an interest in various scientific and technological topics, as well as a specific search for "Nobel Prize winners by country." This led us to explore the geographical distribution of Nobel laureates, and a question arose: why does it seem that certain schools and countries, particularly in the West, have a higher representation? We considered several factors that might contribute to this observation: Historical Dominance in Science: Historically, Western nations have often been at the forefront of scientific research due to earlier investments and established infrastructure.
